In 1961 a tree was planted for every child living in the Bourtons, donated by local residents. In the photograph above, the Reverend H.A.T Bennet watches over the planting on the Green in Great Bourton, with Boddingtons Farm (now Valley View) in the background. This photo is dated March 1st 1961.
The photo below shows a tree being planted on the Bank, Great Bourton with Linda Humphrey ably assisting the Reverend Bennet.
