Bourtons Christmas Bazaar
Posted by Julie Tomlin on Dec 13 2008The Christmas Bazaar was well attended, despite the awful weather, and even Father Christmas braved the rain and winds to join us. There were bargains to be found - books, toys, bric a brac, and toiletries all did a good trade. Refreshments were of their usual high quality, and some delicious cakes could be found at the cake stall. The tombola was as popular as ever, with some lucky people winning beautifully gift wrapped toilet rolls!! (Thanks Maggie!!) The children (and big kids!) tried their hand at Pin the Nose on Rudolph - one winner (older children's category) a mere 4mm adrift of where his nose should be and no cheating!! And lots of little girls modelled wonderful face painted angels, santas and rudolphs.
A good time was had by all, and the organisers would like to thank all those who donated items, helped with the collections, ran the stalls and spent their money! And a huge thank you to Sally for painting Rudolph who was much admired....Thank you!
