Planning Permission Refused on the paddock site between Cropredy and Great Bourton

Posted by Julie Tomlin on Sep 10 2009

As the 5 pitch caravan site constitutes permitted development, and PD rights have not been removed from this site, the planning committee saw a planning application for the hardstanding, lean to extension to the sheep/cow shed and the cesspit.

The hardstanding and cesspit are necessary for the site to operate as a caravan site, and for the applicant to get his exemption licence from the Camping and Caravan Club.

Members have also called for stronger enforcement measures on the site to ensure previous planning conditions are all met and to tidy the site.  They refused planning permission.

The Parish Council wishes to thank all the residents of the Bourtons and Cropredy who wrote in to the planners about this site.  44 letters/emails were received and Members were left in no doubt about the strength of feeling in the villages.

The Parish Council also wishes to thank Cllr Ken Atack (our District Councillor) and Cllr George Reynolds (our County Councillor) for their support at the Planning Committee.

Details of the application can be seen by following this link.
